Federal Income Tax Withheld

Federal income tax withheld refers to taxes that are withheld from a taxpayer’s paycheck by their employer. The employer will then send that money to the Internal Revenue Service. The amount of taxes taken out per pay check is based on the information a taxpayer provides to their employer though Form W-4.
